Australian Food Super

Payday Super has arrived – check your super is being paid on time

October 2026

From 1 July, new Payday Super rules came into effect

This means employers are now required to pay your super contributions at the same time as your wages, instead of paying them every few months.

The change is designed to help your super start working for you sooner, making it easier to keep track of your retirement savings and reducing the risk of unpaid super.

What should you do?

It’s a good idea to check your Australian Food Super account regularly to make sure your employer is paying your super contributions on time.

You can do this by logging into MemberAccess or using the Australian Food Super app, where you can view your recent contributions.

What if your super isn’t being paid?

If you notice your super contributions are missing or delayed:

  • speak with your employer or payroll team first. It may simply be an administrative delay.
  • if the issue isn’t resolved, contact our Member Hotline on 1800 808 614. We can help you understand your account and discuss the next steps.
  • if your employer is not meeting their legal obligations, you can also report unpaid super to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), which has the power to investigate and recover unpaid super contributions.

Stay on top of your super

Your super is an important part of your future financial security. Checking your account every payday is a simple way to make sure your retirement savings are growing as they should.

If you have any questions about your super or need help accessing your account, our Member Services team is here to help.
