Australian Food Super recently attended the Victorian Baking Show in Bendigo as part of our sponsorship of the Baking Association of Australia (BAA), marking our first event with the association and an excellent introduction to the baking industry.
Held on March 14, the show attracted entries from more than 130 bakeries from across Australia. Bakers competed in a wide range of categories including White, Wholemeal, Gourmet and Grain breads, Apprentice, Pies, Cake and Pastry, Australia’s Best Vanilla Slice, and Australia’s Best Hot Cross Bun.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for Australian Food Super to connect with bakery owners and industry professionals.
The day concluded with an awards dinner attended by around 150 guests. where BAA CEO Tony Smith welcomed Australian Food Super as a sponsor and introduced Rob Wilson who later presented the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons in the Innovative Hot Cross Bun category.
Overall, the Victorian Baking Show proved to be a worthwhile event, making it a strong platform for building industry relationships, and raising awareness of Australian Food Super within the baking community.
