Meet Amanda Carter – Our newest Director

Amanda Carter is an experienced industry leader with over 25 years in the Australian meat sector, bringing deep expertise in human resource management, organisational development, workplace health and safety, and governance. Throughout her career, Amanda has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing industry standards and fostering collaboration across peak bodies, member organisations, and allied industries.

As the current People and Culture Project Manager at the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC), Amanda oversees strategic initiatives that drive industry-wide improvements in workforce development, governance, and operational excellence. Prior to her tenure at AMPC, Amanda has held senior human resource roles with Gundagai Meat Processors and Monbeef Pty Ltd, where she was instrumental in building and refining HR, WHS, and training systems.

Amanda’s dedication to governance and member engagement is further reflected through her active participation in numerous industry committees and her leadership in major community projects.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Agriculture) and a Diploma of Education from Charles Sturt University and is currently pursuing further studies in agribusiness. Her depth of industry knowledge, leadership capabilities, and dedication to governance and best practice position her as a highly valued member of the Australian Food Super Board.
